In the year 2000, a new idea was born. To create an event that celebrates and explores BDSM & Leather Relationships, SM and Spirituality. To gather, under one roof, people of all genders and orientations, from Leather & BDSM communities all over North America. A space to celebrate and explore the similarities and differences of our various BDSM and Leather related lifestyles and cultures. An event that offers opportunities for singles, couples, families and friends a deep, meaningful and creative experience of Leather and BDSM.

THIS YEAR'S THEME: THE QUEST
What is a quest? A call to adventure. A journey towards a goal. A seeking or pursuing of something important. A time of initiation and transformation. An encounter with the self and others. As each of us embarks on our individual quests, we find common threads that bind us all together, with our paths ultimately crossing at Southwest Leather Conference.

ABOUT SWLC
Now in its sixth year, Southwest Leather Conference has become known as "The Leather Family Gathering of Heart and Spirit." Attracting over 600 Leatherfolk and BDSM Lifestylers from all over North America, SWLC's emphasis is on the interpersonal and spiritual dynamics of BDSM Relationships and SM Practices, and provides a vehicle for regional leather clubs, organizations and individuals to gather and celebrate the tribe of which we are all a part.

Early Bird $ 88 August 20 through October 7
Standard $ 115 October 8 through December 9
Late $ 135 December 10 through Conference

All registrants must be 21 years of age or older. You must register using your legal name as it appears on your government-issued photo ID, however you may choose to use your nickname or scene name on your conference badge.

HOST HOTEL
Once again, we have an exclusive contract with The Crowne Plaza Phoenix Metrocenter. Because the hotel will sell out for this event, we will only honor hotel reservations for paid SWLC registrants. After paying for your SWLC registration, please call the hotel reservation line at (888) 797-9878 and be sure to ask for the SWLC discounted room rate of $99 per night. This price applies to rooms booked from Wednesday, January 9th, through Monday, January 14th for anyone arriving early or staying late. If you wish to take part in our "Living Leather Pride Quilt" (by hanging a banner of your club, family, business, or other leather/bdsm affiliated organization from your balcony), be sure to request a room facing the "inner pool atrium." VOLUNTEER POSITIONS
Several volunteer opportunities are available to SWLC attendees in a variety of areas. Discounted registration will be granted based on the number of hours each volunteer completes and a special code is needed to complete discounted registration. The rates are $75 for 4 hours of service and $62 for 8 hours of service. Opportunities are in two areas:

I) ON SITE VOLUNTEERS
On-site volunteers put in their service hours at the conference itself in a variety of areas including: Registration, Airport Transportation, Event Set Up/Tear Down, Hospitality Suite, Security, Silent Auction Monitors and Workshop Monitors. Positions are assigned by girl debra, SWLC Volunteer Advocate. If interested, please send an email to girldebra@yahoo.com and once confirmed as a Volunteer, she will give you a discount code to use for online registration.

II) PRE-CONFERENCE PROMOTION REPS
SWLC Regional Promotion Representatives put in their service hours before the conference by promoting SWLC in advance. Positions are assigned by slavegirl debbie, Marketing Team Lead. Only a few positions are still available, which are listed on the Volunteers Page on our website. If interested, please send an email to slavegirl.debbie@gmail.com and once you are confirmed as a SWLC Promo Rep, she will give you a discount code to use when you register online.

SPONSORSHIPS & ADVERTISING
SWLC presents unique and beneficial opportunities for Leather & BDSM organizations and businesses to help support our conference, making it possible for everyone to know of your generosity and willingness to support the leather community. Our Sponsorship and Advertising opportunities will help you reach a wide audience, as we expect over 600 people (including staff and presenters) at our conference in January 2008. Various packages include a combination of free registrations, on-stage banner, free ad in our progam/run book, a link on our website and on-stage recognition.
