This is a great interview I think you've captured Carol's voice pretty darn well. She has a complex character that's hard to capture in sound bites and she's ever evolving. She can be very inspiring at times.

To have recommendations from both you and Carol says quite a lot, both for La Domaine Esemar and also for Master R!

Master R is a friend of $pread - I know a few dommes who've trained at La Domaine Esemar and often return there to do sessions. They are lovely people and they run a nice facility - and the get-away B&B aspect of it is nice too.

It's good to have you back and when you get yourself reoriented I am really looking forward to your help getting that age-of-consent conversation going!

I'll need a few days to get re-oriented, of course.

And thank you again for the good news on Genarlow. Now we do indeed need to raise the issues involved in age of consent laws. Some of them are just medieval.

Time to talk about teens and sex -- again

I posted a Wilson update on my Wordpress blog this morning indicating that there are still teens on sex offender registries because of consensual sex, too. It continues to amaze me that we would rather criminalize than educate.

Here's a link to the Atlanta Journal Constitution article that talks about Wilson's release and also about the other teens on sex offender registries: Genarlow Wilson is free but others are not.
Lets reopen a forum on teens and sex and age and consent, shall we?

Oh .... and WELCOME BACK!!

And your link to MSNBC now indicates that Genarlow has actually walked out of prison! W00T!

On the down side (there's always a down side, isn't there?), it's still a misdemeanor for a 17 year old boy to get a blow job from a 15 year old girl in Georgia. Better than a felony, but WTF? It's sort of a lesser degree of Stupid.

Now if only we knew about "people"...

I've read the NYT piece and downloaded the study and I have to say that I think claiming you've outlined the reasons "Why humans have sex" (the title of the article) by studying a group of people that is overwhelmingly between 18-22, and enrolled in college, is a bit of a stretch. I've got more to say about this, but probably tomorrow.

What was that blinding flash?

From the University's press release:

Researcher David Buss said: "Surprisingly, many scientists assume the answer is obvious, but people have different reasons for having sex, some of which are rather complex."

J'ville

You're very welcome JanieBelle. I made it just for you. Now get your friends over here so you aren't so lonely in that forum, there!

The reason it doesn't show up in the "recent blog posts" on the sidebar is that I created the item as a story and not a blog post. I'm trying to decide how to treat info about the site -- should it be part of my onsite blog or should it be separate. I hadn't considered that by making it a "story" and thus not part of a blog that it would be absent from the sidebar. Thanks for pointing that out!

Very Cool

...and very cool that J'ville has its own forum. Little towns like ours usually get left out in the cold for places like NYC, Atlanta, Philly, LA, etc.

Thanks for that.

Also, I note that this blog entry isn't showing up in the Recent Member Blog Posts section of the right side bar. Is is not supposed to for some reason?

Kisses,

JanieBelle
