See map: Google MapsThe Museum of Sex staff will be handing out breath mints and museum coupons at the annual Times Square Kiss-In, on Tuesday, August 14 at 1 pm. Couples interested in participating must register on the Times Square Alliance website. The Museum of Sex joins the The Times Square Alliance in encouraging "all couples whose kisses bridge boundaries, be they religious, political, racial, national or otherwise" to join in this special moment.

On the anniversary of the end of World War II, the Times Square Alliance invites couples from all generations and of all types to celebrate in Times Square, in honor of the US Armed Forces and in celebration of the universal ideals of peace, love and hope.

The Times Square Alliance is issuing a call to arms – and lips! – as we celebrate and reenact a moment of hope and renewal crystallized in the famous 1945 image of a sailor and a nurse kissing passionately 62 years ago, on the very same day and in the very same spot in the heart of Times Square.

Michelle Vitt looks happy enough. She’s pretty in the picture of her in today’s Jacksonville Daily News. Sitting in the Starbuck’s there on Western Blvd., in her Abercrombie T-shirt, pretty smile, lovely cheeks, cell phone and keys on the table next to her frozen coffee drink, you might think she’s just your average American college age girl. But Hope Hodge of the Daily News Staff tells us there’s something very atypical about Michelle that you can’t see in that photograph, or even in person.
